　中南米・アジア・アフリカには、自然とともに生きる神々や精霊、そしてアナンシのようなトリックスターの物語が息づいています。ケツァルコアトルやトラロック、バロンとランダ――多彩な存在が、それぞれの文化の神話世界を形づくってきました。

中南米・アジア・アフリカの神話とは　

　中南米とアジアの神話は、古代文明と豊かな自然の中で育まれた多彩な神話世界を持っています。マヤやアステカの神々は、太陽・雨・大地・時間といった宇宙の秩序を司る存在として崇拝されました。

　羽毛の蛇神ケツァルコアトル、夜と魔術の神テスカトリポカ、雨神トラロックなどは、その代表的な神々です。また、大地母神コアトリクエや火と時間の神シウテクトリも、自然の力を象徴する神格として知られています。

　一方アジアでは、宗教と民間信仰が重なり合い、独自の神話や伝承が生まれました。バリ島の神話に登場する守護霊バロンと魔女ランダの戦いは、善と混沌の象徴的な対立として語り継がれています。古代メソポタミアの女神イシュタルのように、愛と戦いを司る神格もこの広い神話世界に連なります。

　さらにアフリカには、知恵と機知をもって世界を渡る蜘蛛の精霊アナンシの物語が広く伝わり、人間の弱さや狡猾さを映し出すトリックスターとして親しまれています。

Mythologies of Mesoamerica, Asia, and Africa present rich and diverse worlds shaped by ancient civilizations and the forces of nature.
The gods of the Maya and Aztecs were revered as beings who governed the cosmic order—sun, rain, earth, and time.

Among the most prominent are Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent; Tezcatlipoca, the god of night and sorcery; and Tlaloc, the rain god.
Deities such as Coatlicue, the earth mother, and Xiuhtecuhtli, the god of fire and time, also embody the power of nature.

In Asia, mythology developed through the interweaving of religion and folk belief, giving rise to unique traditions and narratives.
The battle between Barong, the protective spirit, and Rangda, the witch, in Balinese mythology symbolizes the eternal conflict between order and chaos.
Furthermore, deities such as Ishtar of ancient Mesopotamia, who governs love and war, are also part of this vast mythological landscape.

In Africa, the tales of Anansi—the spider spirit who travels the world through wit and cunning—are widely told, portraying both the cleverness and the frailty of human nature as a classic trickster figure.
